Barbara McClusky is an artist, writer, and illustrator from British Columbia, Canada.

Acrylic

Barbara feels most at home when immersed in an acrylic painting. She focuses on the light and shadows within each painting, in order to create depth. She paints in many layers, often incorporating texture, which brings her paintings to life.

 Watercolour

Drawn to the translucent appearance of watercolour florals, Barbara enjoys the challenge of incorporating a variety of techniques into her paintings.

Pastel

Pastels have a rich, luminous appearance that make them an exciting medium to work with.

Fluid Art

Barbara was thrilled to discover the world of acrylic pouring. She started out doing it just for fun — then she became hooked! She begins every project with a plan, using knowledge and techniques gained from previous paintings, but is often surprised by the results. When it works out, the finished product can be spectacular!
