Barbara has written several poems, including The Sweater below.

The Sweater

I open the faded box.
From it, I pull
a well worn sweater.
Pink, blue and purple —
the colours of
a little girl
toddling around
on tippy-toes with
pudgy cheeks and
eyes filled with everyday.
Belly laughs and bear hugs,
tickles and butterfly kisses . . .
I hold the sweater close
like a memory,
sweet and cherished.
