About Barbara
Barbara McClusky is an artist and writer. She lives in a small town in British Columbia, Canada with her husband where she spends entire days getting lost in her craft.
As a retired elementary school teacher, she has turned hobbies into passions and loves every creative moment.
Barbara has been writing her whole life, and while juggling her teaching career with being a full-time mom, she wrote three children’s stories, multiple poems and has started a fantasy novel.
Her passion for painting began a little later, and she is now accomplished in several mediums: acrylic, watercolour, pastel and acrylic pouring.
Whenever she is out in her kayak or cycling on forest trails, she spends much of her time taking photos of the natural beauty that surrounds her. Her passion for painting florals also takes her into many amazing gardens where she almost always finds inspiration. She is awed by the incredible beauty and the wonders of nature that she encounters and is obsessed with trying to capture that in her work. She believes there is an artist inside each one of us, wanting to come out and play.
Barbara is a member of the Cariboo Artists’ Guild.
